Teasel stem finished in wax and graphite powder
Inspiration comes from nature and developmental drawing. The teasel and iris seed pod provide inspiration. Cold finish techniques were used including wax and graphite and spray paint.
One piece brings a 2D sketch into the 3D world.
The jagged teasel seed head is the inspiration for this piece finished with spray paint.
This work is based on a developmental drawing from an iris seed pod. The 3D piece imitates the 2D drawing.
